Partner Visa

This visa option allows you to bring in your partner or your spouse to live in Australia. You must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.

Partner Visa Temporary Subclass 820

This visa option lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia temporarily. Getting this visa is the first step toward a permanent Partner visa (subclass 801). This visa option is only for applicants who are currently in Australia.

Requirement:

  • Not had a visa cancelled or an application refused
  • Not hold certain regional visas
  • Be in Australia when you apply
  • Have a sponsor
  • Be the right age
  • Meet relationship requirements: (You must be the spouse or de facto partner of an):
    • Australian citizen
    • Australian permanent resident or
    • eligible New Zealand citizen.
  • Meet our health requirement
  • Meet our character requirement
  • Have no debt to the Australian Government
  • Best interests of the child..

Partner Visa Temporary Subclass 801

The Partner Visa (Temporary Subclass 801) lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia permanently. This visa option is only for applicants who are currently in Australia.

Requirements:

  • Meet visa requirements:
    • (Must hold a Partner visa (subclass 820)
    • or a Dependent Child (subclass 445) visa).
  • Continue to meet relationship requirements:
    • Be married or in a de facto relationship
    • Have a genuine and continuing relationship
    • Live together, or not live permanently separate and apart
    • Be mutually committed to a shared life excluding other partners.
  • Have no debt to the Australian government, or have arranged to pay debts back.

Apply Offshore

Partner (Provisional) Visa Subclass 309

This visa is a pathway to permanent residence and lets the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia permanently. It is usually granted to people who hold a temporary Partner visa (subclass 309).

Requirements:

  • Not had a visa cancelled or an application refused
  • Be outside Australia when you apply
  • Have a sponsor
  • Be the right age
  • Meet relationship requirements
  • Meet our health requirement
  • Meet our character requirement
  • Have no debt to the Australian Government

Partner (Migrant) Visa Subclass 100

The visa lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, live in Australia permanently. It is usually granted to people who hold a temporary Partner visa (subclass 309).

Requirements:

  • Meet visa requirements
  • Continue to meet relationship requirements
  • Have no debt to the Australian government, or have arranged to pay debts back.

Prospective Marriage visa Subclass 300

If you are planning to get married and you would like to come to Australia / bring your prospective spouse to come to Australia to get married, then this visa is suitable for you. You will be able to apply for a partner visa after acquiring the Prospective Marriage Visa.

Obtaining this visa will allow your prospective spouse to stay in Australia between 9 and 15 months from the you are granted the visa.

Requirements:

  • Not had a visa cancelled or an application refused
  • You have to be outside of Australia (Offshore) to apply for this visa
  • be the right age (You have to be 18 years old or older)
  • Have a sponsor (who is your Prospective Spouse)
  • Meet relationship requirements:
    • Must be an Australian Citizen
    • Australian Permanent Resident
    • An eligible New Zealand citizen
  • Meet our health requirement
  • Meet our character requirement
  • Have no debt to the Australian Government
  • In the best interest of the child.
